Simpson hires its first Regional Director of Clinical Services to advance its high standard of clinical care.

David January, Regional Director of Clinical Services

At Simpson, we are dedicated to building communities that provide quality services where older adults can thrive. To meet this goal, we are proud to announce the appointment of David January as our new Regional Director of Clinical Services. David will work collaboratively with key leadership and our healthcare teams to assess, evaluate, and improve the clinical services we provide to all of our residents.

David January has over 15 years of experience supporting the needs of residents in long term care and is committed to strengthening patient outcomes. David holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in nursing leadership and management from Western Governors University. Beyond his educational achievements, David’s expertise is evidenced by his continuous leadership involvement, and his passion for designing innovative policy and process solutions that yield measurable results.

To solidify his commitment to employing methods that ensure the highest standards of care, David acquired his Gerontological Nursing Board certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). ANCC is the gold standard in nursing credentialing and this certification serves as testament to his ability to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and experiences.

Previously, David served as the Regional Director of Care Services, overseeing the well-being of more than 800 residents, at multiple communities across Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Prior to that role, he served as a Quality Assurance Expert for 15 memory care facilities specializing in resident-centered care using solutions and strategic based methodologies. Throughout his career, he has been deliberate about advocating for quality systems, risk management and regulatory procedures that set industry benchmarks (or standards) for success.

David’s integrated approach to addressing individual resident needs and his understanding of the issues related to systems of care make him an invaluable asset to Simpson’s growing leadership team. As a change agent for our organization, he embodies our multi-level approach to provide unique, comprehensive programs to improve our residents’ quality of life.
