This program focuses on creating a dignified, respectful, and enriching environment tailored to the individual needs of each resident. For nearly 28 years, Comfort Matters® has educated over 10,000 healthcare professionals across the U.S. and in 22 countries.

Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation
For Philadelphians needing short- or long-term nursing and rehabilitative services, the Flanagan Health and Rehabilitation Center at Simpson House provides a full range of skilled nursing care and specialized therapies. The skilled nursing area features a charming, modern design that provides residents with a comfortable and welcoming environment. Our person-directed, wellness-oriented approach factors residents’ health, well-being, and happiness into decisions.
Simpson House integrates innovative technology such as Virtusense® and AMBA® into our care, using advanced tools to enhance communication and clinical outcomes. This technology is essential in optimizing care and supporting our residents’ overall well-being.
Rehabilitation Services
For adults in Greater Philadelphia recovering from surgery, illness, or injury, Simpson House offers rehabilitation services in the highly rated Flanagan Health and Rehabilitation Center. The center features an inviting fireside lounge, a dining room, and 20 private and semi-private rooms with private baths. The physical therapy suite, with state-of-the-art equipment and innovative care modalities, is adjacent to residents’ rooms.
Therapy programs are individualized to suit each person’s needs, wants, and lifestyle and are coupled with results-oriented daily support. Everything is provided by a team of highly qualified, board-certified physical and occupational therapists.
Therapy Services
We provide a full spectrum of therapeutic services, customized to meet the unique needs of each individual. Our services include:
- Speech Therapy – Focused on treating swallowing difficulties, cognitive challenges, and memory concerns.
- Occupational Therapy – Designed to help individuals regain independence in everyday tasks, including bathing, dressing, and reestablishing daily routines.
- Physical Therapy – Concentrating on mobility, balance, strength, and gross motor skills to help improve overall physical well-being.

Simpson HomeCare
